Battery

The high-voltage system battery this year consists of 384 cells arranged into 8 segments. This configuration provides a capacity of 7 kWh.

BMS System

Using 9 PCB boards, it monitors every single cell in real time. Each segment has its own PCB that monitors the temperature and voltage of its respective cell group and performs cell balancing. Additionally, one master board oversees the entire system, communicates with other systems in the car, and determines whether the vehicle can be powered on.

Control Unit

The Nvidia Jetson is a compact computer designed for robotics and AI-based systems. Its role in torque vectoring is based on analyzing data from the car’s sensors and determining the torque demand for each motor, which is sent to the inverter at a frequency of 100 Hz.

Drivetrain

For the first time, we used two in-wheel motors on the rear axle of the vehicle. This helped fully utilize the potential of electric motors and enables further development of an all-wheel-drive race car.
